Lina Nilsson is the founder of Tekla Labs, a global technology cooperative of scientists, educators, and others who design, catalogue, build, and use research-grade Do-It-Yourself (DIY) biology lab equipment. Lina is also the Innovation Director at the Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California Berkeley. Working with USAID, we create novel approaches, encompassed in the new field of Development Engineering, for scientist and engineers to create effective real-world solutions to pressing global challenges. Lina is an engineer, and has a PhD from the ETH Zurich.
