Joe Coray is the vice president and global practice leader for The Hartford in the Technology and Life Science practice and the International Strategy practice. In this capacity, he is responsible for all execution activities of the group, including overseeing field sales, underwriting and strategy for both practices, including information technology, electronics, telecommunications, renewable energy, and life sciences and medical technology. Since joining The Hartford in 2005, he has been in middle market and small commercial segments, active in several initiatives and projects, as well as leading the practice. He has been involved in insurance for technology and life science customers for several years, having worked in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. areas, focusing on large accounts for property and casualty. He has been in the insurance industry since 1987. He has a bachelor’s degree from Saint Francis University, and a master’s degree from St. Bernard’s Institute. He has earned an associate in insurance management designation from the Insurance Institute, and is certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
