Christine Fleming is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. She is the principal investigator of the Structure-Function Imaging Laboratory, where her group’s objective is to develop high-resolution optical imaging instruments in conjunction with real-time image analysis for diagnosis and therapy monitoring of diseases of the heart. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, where she developed signal-processing algorithms to identify cholesterol within coronary arteries. Christine received her BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and her MS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
