An architect and engineer by training, Carlo Ratti teaches at MIT, where he directs the Senseable City Lab. He is also a founding member of the international design office Carlo Ratti Associati. He is currently serving as a member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council for Urban Management and a curator for the Future Food Pavilion for World Expo 2015. Ratti was named one of the 50 Most Influential Designers in America by Fast Company in 2011 and was highlighted in Wired magazine's 2012 list of "50 people who will change the world.”
